이번 새로운 High PKWY EP는 정말 그루비합니다. 그들은 항상 진짜 쿨한 사운드들을 소개하고 멋진 전달력을 가지고 있었죠. 이번에도 역시 잘 다듬어진 프렌치 하우스 곡들을 뽑아냈습니다. 디스코 스타일의 첫곡을 제외하고는 나머지 곡들은 대부분 칠하고 감수성이 깊은 편안한 곡들입니다. EP를 표현하자면 다양성이 많이 강조되었습니다. ‘Do You Like to Funk’의 트로피컬한 사운드와 ‘Flat Erica’의 라운지 느낌까지 다양한 사운드를 자랑하고 있습니다. 특히 마지막 곡인 ‘Don’t Forget It’은 영화 Men In Black 곡을 샘플링하여 재탄생시켜 최고의 칠한 분위기를 끌어내고 심지어 재즈스러운 펑키함까지 가지고있습니다. Nitework의 US3 샘플을 이용한 리믹스와 Alpha Snail과 HardtoPronounce의 빠르고 펑키한 리믹스로 이 EP를 더욱더 알차게 만들었습니다.
So much groove in this new EP by High PKWY. They have always managed to create some really cool sounds and like always they never fail to deliver. They have yet again released true proper french house tracks. Aside from the first track that is characterized as disco style, other tracks are more on the chill wave side and very relaxed. Variety could be a word to describe this EP. From the tropical sounds of ‘Do You Like to Funk,’ to the lounge feel of ‘Flat Erica.’ the EP boast great quality of all sorts of sound. Especially the final track ‘Don’t Forget It’ samples off from Men In Black to create the ultimate chill wave track, yet funky enough with plenty of jazzy sounds. With quality remixes by Nitework combining US3 samples and Alpha Snail and HardtoPronounce providing their faster funkier disco completes this EP to the fullest.
