조종사들이 돌아왔습니다! 새로운 곡이 항상 기다려지는 그룹 Flight Facilities입니다. 잔잔한 슬로우 템포곡들인 ‘Claire De Lune’과 ‘With You’로 감성을 자극하였다면 이번엔 그보다 업템포이며 80년대 댄스 느낌이 물씬 나는 레트로하며 그루비한 곡을 선보였습니다.
The pilots are back! I am always curious as to what Flight Facilities have under their sleeves, and yet here they are again with their new single that never fails to amaze me. If ‘Claire De Lune’ and ‘With You’ were the slow tempo beat that brought the sentimental groove, this new track ‘I Didn’t Believe’ is the song that brings back the retro groove with that 80s dance vibe.

To celebrate 10K twitter followers, Oliver dropped a new remix track. Before becoming Oliver, they’ve showed great groovy disco sounds and were great at capturing that disco vibe and creating it into a modern nudisco sound. There first EP did however sound more towards the electronic style than the disco sounds that some fans were anticipating. So that being said I guess they have brought back the groove in this remix track to thank us all!
발매된지 얼마되지 않은 Satin Jackets의 새로운 EP에 아쉽게도 포함되지는 않았지만, 이름만봐도 항상 기대되는 Tempogeist의 리믹스입니다. 벨기에의 Breakbot와 같이 그전의 곡들과 리믹스들로 항상 익숙한 펑키한 사운드를 이번에도 보여주었습니다. 원곡에는 없는 신스를 이용한 멜로디 라인으로 훨씬 밝고 업비트한 느낌을 더했습니다.
Tempogeist got their hands on the new Satin Jackets‘ track Only You. Although their remix is not included in the EP, this track is full of those fun sounds that we have been accustomed to. Once again they have added their funky sound with the lovely synth to add a brighter and upbeat taste to the original sound.
첫 정규 데뷔 앨범으로 많은 사랑을 받은 Strip Steve의 Micro Mega의 리믹스 앨범입니다. 앨범커버에서 볼 수 있듯이 참여한 아티스트들만해도 대단한 라인업이네요. 개인적으로 가장 좋아했던 ‘Stomp’, ‘Money Trouble Funk’, ‘Hood’가 어떠한 새로운 옷으로 리믹스될까 궁금헀는데…그중에서 전 Broke One의 리믹스가 가장 마음에 들더군요. 최근에 딥하우스 그리고 클래식한 시카고 디트로이트 하우스에 관심을 가지게 되어서 그런건지 모르지만 풍부하고 깊은 사운드가 참 좋네요! 많은 아티스트들이 참여한 만큼 각자 취향에 맞는 곡을 찾아보시길.
This is the remix album of Strip Steve‘s first debut album. By looking at the covers this album boasts a great line up of participating artists. My personal favorites from this album was ‘Stomp’, ‘Money Trouble Funk’, and ‘Hood’, and I was quite curious as to see how the remixes would turn out to sound like. Out of all my favorite would be Broke One‘s remix of ‘Hood’. Not sure if it’s my ever-so changing taste that has brought me to like the deep house/classical Chicago & Detroit house, but this deep and rich sound definitely does the job! The number of remixes and the sheer difference of styles amongst the artists gives you the luxury of finding your cup of tea.
다양한 음악을 구사하는 Rubix가 새로운 프로젝트인 Cleavage를 선보였습니다. Rubix로 활동할 당시 누구와 콜라보레이션을 하느냐에 따라 디스코, 하우스, 스윙, 일렉트로까지 다재다능한 음악적인 색깔을 보여주던 그가 이번에는 Cleavage의 ‘My Body’를 통해 자신의 딥하우스 색깔을 보여줍니다. 여성의 볼륨을 나타내는 프로젝트명인 만큼 뮤직비디오 또한 하나의 볼거리를 제공하네요.
Cleavage is a new project under Rubix. Rubix has been delving into all sorts of sounds from disco, house, swing, electro, and many other genres depending on who he collaborates. 개인적으로 지금의 인지도 보다 훨씬 많은 인기를 누려야된다고 생각하는 그룹중 하나인 Solidisco입니다. 예전부터 쭉 지켜오던 그룹이고 정말 제가 좋아하는 스타일의 음악을 구사하고 있어서 그런가…아무튼 가장 디스코와 빅룸 하우스 느낌을 정확히 잘 섞어놓은 뮤지션중에 하나라고 생각됩니다. 그루비한 디스코와 트렌드에 맞는 하우스 요소까지!! 제가 CDJ뒤에서 믹싱한다면 이들처럼 하고 싶더군요…
Personally, I believe that Solidisco is a group that is highly underrated in terms of their fame level. After featuring their music through Fool’s Gold Records, I believe their careers will only bloom from this point on. I might have bias towards this group because I’ve following their work from years back and loving every single track of their work. Also I think that Solidisco is a group that has the perfect blend of disco and big-room house tune. If I were ever behind the decks DJing, my bench mark would be Solidisco.

For Ed Banger 10th Anniversary, all of your favorite Ed Banger artists got together in Paris to celebrate a memorable day. My favorite set was definitely Breakbot’s set, which was filled with mostly his songs and remixes. Enjoy this set that never fails to amaze me.
